ABC Nebraska Welcomes Rev. Lauren Parliament as Associate Region Minister
We are delighted to share good news from American Baptist Churches of Nebraska.
After a season of prayerful discernment, the Region is pleased to announce that Rev. Lauren Parliament has accepted our call to serve as Associate Regional Minister for Ministry Coordination, beginning in 2026.
Lauren comes to ABC Nebraska with a deep love for the local church and extensive experience in regional, camp, and congregational ministry. She has served most recently with the American Baptist Churches of the Rocky Mountains, where her ministry focused on pastoral care for leaders, camp and youth ministry, discipleship, and collaborative leadership across congregations. Throughout her ministry, Lauren has demonstrated a strong pastoral presence, thoughtful organizational leadership, and a genuine commitment to walking alongside churches and leaders.
As Associate Regional Minister, Lauren will support pastors and congregations across Nebraska, help coordinate regional events and leadership development opportunities, strengthen our partnership with Moses Merrill Camp and Conference Center, and represent ABC Nebraska through preaching, presence, and relationship-building.
During her recent visit to Nebraska, Lauren spent time with our staff, visited Moses Merrill Camp, and met with local churches. We were grateful for the spirit she brought into every conversation and encouraged by the ways her gifts and calling align with the current needs of our region. We are confident that her leadership will help us continue to Love with Courage, Lead with Wisdom, and Serve with Compassion together.
Please join us in welcoming Rev. Lauren Parliament and in praying for her as she prepares to begin this new season of ministry with ABC Nebraska. There will be opportunities in the months ahead for churches to meet Lauren and engage more directly with her ministry.
We give thanks to God for faithful leadership and for the shared ministry we hold together as churches helping churches.
