ABC NE Office Relocating in March 2026

ABC Nebraska Region Office Relocating in March 2026

To Our Nebraska Baptist Family,

We are writing to share an important update regarding the American Baptist Churches of Nebraska Region Office.

In March 2026, ABC Nebraska will relocate its regional office to Modern Work Suites in Omaha.

In November 2025, Hope Evangelical Free Church of Omaha approached ABC Nebraska with an unsolicited offer to purchase our current office building at 11244 Blondo Street. ABC Nebraska and Amazing Grace Church share the 7,300-square-foot building, which has remained significantly underutilized. Hope Evangelical Free Church—an active and growing congregation of approximately 150 people—expressed a strong desire to use the space more fully for ministry.

Following a tour of the building, Hope Evangelical Free Church presented a generous purchase offer of $1.2 million for the building and surrounding acerage. This offer was presented to the ABC Nebraska Leadership Team at its November 14 quarterly business meeting, where a motion to accept it was made and approved. Official meeting minutes are available on the Leadership Team page of the ABC Nebraska website.

ABC Nebraska has since engaged a professional realtor to guide us through this transition. While the exact closing date has not yet been finalized, it is anticipated to occur during the final week of February 2026.

After a careful search of available commercial and church-based office space, ABC Nebraska has chosen to relocate to Modern Work Suites, on a one-year lease conveniently located near Interstate 80 at 84th Street and F Street.

New Office Address (effective after relocation):
8790 F Street, 3rd Floor

Suite 305 & 306
Omaha, NE 68127

Until the relocation is fully completed, please continue to use our current mailing address:
11244 Blondo Street
Omaha, NE 68164

Once the transition is complete, we will send a final notification by mail, email, and social media.

This new location provides the Region Leadership Team time and flexibility to evaluate how ABC Nebraska can best serve our congregations in the years ahead. Relocating significantly reduces the time and costs of owning, operating, and insuring a 7,300-square-foot building and 2.5 acres of land, allowing us to devote more time, energy, and resources to ministry. A small portion of the sale proceeds will be used to cover relocation expenses and ensure healthy cash flow, while more than $1 million will be invested through the American Baptist Foundation to strengthen the Region’s long-term financial sustainability.

Since space is limited at the new location, some historical documents and items that cannot be accommodated there will be securely stored at Sunset Hills Baptist Church.

We celebrate the legacy of Miracle Hills Community Baptist Church for gifting this property to ABC Nebraska in 2017, expanding ABC Nebraska’s work and extending Miracle Hills’ ministry until 2022. We also celebrate and honor the legacy of Olivet Baptist Church who first planted and built the church building in the late 1960s. Both churches will be honored by the Hope Evangelical Free Church with a memorial.

We are grateful for the careful leadership, partnership, and prayer that have guided this process. We trust that God is at work in this transition and look forward to what lies ahead for ABC Nebraska and the congregations we serve.
